Industrial Data Logging
Industrial Data Logging
Collects and stores time-stamped machine, process, test, and environmental data for compliance, analysis, and traceability.
Quick Service Summary
- Parent Domain: Industrial IoT Solutions
- Execution Model: Custom Engineering Scope
- Verification: Bench & Functional Testing
- Delivery Deliverables: Schematics, Code & Documentation
The Engineering Challenge
Critical production parameters, autoclave temperatures, and test results are lost or unrecorded, failing regulatory audits and customer quality inquiries.
The Desired Outcome
Continuous, tamper-evident, time-stamped data acquisition storing machine and process parameters in high-reliability databases with automated archival.
Core Technical Capabilities
Application-specific engineering focused on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
High-frequency time-stamped logging from PLCs, controllers, and smart instruments
Local edge buffering in non-volatile memory to prevent gaps during network downtime
Time-series and relational database storage optimized for millions of records
Event-driven logging triggered by alarms, cycle pulses, or parameter thresholds
Automated database backups, data retention rules, and scheduled table pruning
Audit-supporting exports in CSV, Excel, and digitally verifiable PDF formats
Technical Approach
We configure edge loggers with accurate NTP/RTC time synchronization. Data is buffered locally in SQLite/Flash and pushed via bulk transactions into PostgreSQL or InfluxDB time-series tables.
Required Customer Inputs
List of data tags, required sampling frequency (e.g. 1 Hz, 10 Hz), retention duration (e.g. 1 year, 5 years), and query performance expectations.
Project Deliverables
- Data logger hardware / service installation and tag mapping
- Optimized database schema and retention policy configuration
- Automated backup routines and data integrity verification
- Export utilities and historical query tools
Scope Boundaries & Safety Safeguards
Data storage capacity depends on provisioned drive hardware and agreed backup retention policies. TC Smart Technology adheres to transparent engineering standards: solutions do not bypass machine safety interlocks, and all AI features retain human-in-the-loop governance.
